  • 2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil or avocado oil if preferred
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika or regular paprika
  • to taste Salt & Pepper adjust according to preference
For the Crema
  • 2 medium Avocados ripe for creamy texture
  • 1 cup Sour Cream or Greek yogurt for a lighter twist
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Cilantro optional
  • 2 cloves Garlic freshly minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper optional

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Start by patting dry the salmon fillets with paper towels, ensuring moisture is removed.
  2. In a small bowl, combine Cajun seasoning, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each salmon fillet with the seasoning mixture.
  4. Optional: let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for up to 30 minutes.
  5. Cook the salmon by pan-searing, baking, grilling, or air-frying using appropriate times.
  6. Let the salmon rest for a few minutes once cooked.
  7. Prepare the Avocado Lime crema by blending avocados, sour cream or Greek yogurt, lime juice, cilantro, minced garlic, and cayenne pepper until smooth.
  8. Prepare your chosen sides.
  9. Serve the salmon, drizzled with crema, alongside your prepared sides.
  10. Garnish with chopped cilantro and lime wedges.
