Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs boneless and skinless
  • 1/4 cup gochujang Korean chili paste
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine gochujang, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well to create a marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F or your oven to 400°F.
  4. If using an air fryer, place the marinated chicken thighs in the basket in a single layer. Cook for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through. If baking, place the chicken on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice glaze.
  5. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer or oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
