For the Pork
  • 1 lb Ground Pork Can substitute with ground chicken or turkey.

  • ¼ cup Green Onions Chopped; divide for best flavor impact.
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Low-Sodium Chicken Broth Or vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
  • 2 tbsp Mirin Use dry sherry with sugar as a substitute.
  • 2 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce Regular soy sauce can be used; increase the amount slightly.
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic Fresh or jarred.
  • 1 tbsp Grated Ginger Fresh preferred, ground ginger is acceptable.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil Adds nutty flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha Hot Sauce Optional; adjust for heat preference.
For the Veggies
  • 4 cups Coleslaw Mix (Cabbage and Carrots) Substitute with freshly shredded cabbage and carrots if desired.

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Boil water and cook loMein noodles according to package instructions (4-5 minutes). Drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add peanut oil. Add ground pork and green onions; cook for 5-6 minutes until browned.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together chicken broth, mirin, dark soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and sriracha for the sauce.
  4. Lower the heat, add noodles and coleslaw to the skillet, pour the sauce over, and toss to coat everything well for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately, garnishing with remaining sliced green onions.
