Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the cabbage into thick rounds, about ½ inch thick, and brush both sides with olive oil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Optionally, add the egg.
- Press a generous handful of the meat mixture onto each cabbage slice, shaping into patties.
- Place the cabbage burgers on the lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes until cooked through.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each patty and broil for an additional 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve garnished with fresh parsley and your favorite dipping sauces.
