For the Pasta Base
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Feel free to substitute with olive oil for a healthier option.
  • 8 ounces Spaghetti Pasta Any pasta can be used in its place if preferred.
For the Egg Mixture
  • 4 large Eggs Whisk in a splash of cream for an even fluffier texture if desired.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Consider using mozzarella or Monterey Jack for a milder taste.
For Flavor
  • 8 ounces Breakfast Sausage Cooked sausage links can be used if ground sausage isn’t on hand.
  • Salt Essential for enhancing flavors; adjust according to taste.
  • Pepper Essential for enhancing flavors; adjust according to taste.

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Mixing bowl

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by melting 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Allow the butter to fully coat the bottom and bubble slightly, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add your cooked spaghetti to the skillet and spread it evenly across the bottom. Let it warm up in the butter for about 2-3 minutes, stirring gently to avoid sticking.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs until smooth. Pour the beaten eggs directly over the warm spaghetti in the skillet, spreading them evenly across the surface.
  4. Now it’s time to add the cooked breakfast sausage to the skillet. Sprinkle the sausage pieces evenly over the mixture and fold everything together. Allow the sausage to warm up and blend into the dish for around 2-3 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the mixture, continuing to cook on low heat for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once everything is well combined and the cheese is melted, season the dish with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
