Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 package 8 ounces refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Add pizza sauce and mix well. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-inch pie pan, sealing any seams.
  5. Spread half of the mozzarella cheese over the dough.
  6. Layer the cooked beef mixture on top, followed by the remaining mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices.
  7. Fold the edges of the crescent dough over the filling, creating a crust.
  8. Brush the top with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
