Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-inch pie pan, sealing any seams.
Spread half of the mozzarella cheese over the dough.
Layer the cooked beef mixture on top, followed by the remaining mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices.
Fold the edges of the crescent dough over the filling, creating a crust.
Brush the top with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
