Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the greased mini muffin tin, filling each cup about ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before gently popping them out of the tin.
