  • 8 oz Turkey Ham Can substitute with sautéed mushrooms or spinach for vegetarian version.
  • 4 tbsp Béchamel Sauce Enhance with Dijon mustard for added depth.
  • 4 large Eggs Adjust cooking time for desired doneness.

  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream Incorporate for a more custard-like texture.
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard Essential for flavor in the béchamel.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking dish by greasing it.
  2. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan and whisk in 4 tablespoons of flour for about 2 minutes.
  3. Gradually pour in 2 cups of milk while whisking to avoid lumps; cook until thickened.
  4. Tear brioche into cubes and layer half of it in the greased casserole dish, then pour half of the béchamel sauce over it.
  5. Add slices of turkey ham and top with grated Gruyère cheese, pour remaining béchamel sauce over.
  6. Whisk 4 eggs and 1/2 cup of heavy cream together and pour over the casserole.
  7. Bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown; add a couple of eggs on top during the last 10 minutes if desired.
  8. Let the casserole rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
