Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and espresso powder.
  3. In another bowl, mix olive oil, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then blend in vanilla extract and sour cream.
  5. Mash the ripe bananas and fold them into the wet mixture.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and fold until just combined.
  7. Toss chocolate chips with flour and fold into the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and optionally arrange banana slices on top.
  9. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool for 20 minutes.
