  • 1 package cheese ravioli store-bought or homemade
  • 1 pound ground beef can substitute turkey or meat alternative
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce jarred or homemade
For the Cheese Layer
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese can substitute with cottage cheese or vegan ricotta
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese can swap for provolone or non-dairy cheese
For Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning or mixed dried herbs

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, then add minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  3. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish, add half of the cheese ravioli, half of the ricotta, half of the meat mixture, and a sprinkle of mozzarella.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30-35 minutes, then remove foil for the last 10 minutes.
  6. Let cool for 5-10 minutes, then serve warm.
