- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a clean mixing bowl, add egg whites and cream of tartar. Beat at medium speed until frothy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually sprinkle in granulated sugar while beating on medium-high speed for 8-10 minutes until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in green gel food coloring to your meringue.
- Transfer the meringue to a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe in a tree shape on the baking sheet.
- Bake the meringue trees for 45-50 minutes until dry to the touch.
- Let the meringues cool in the oven for at least 1 hour, or ideally overnight.
