Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, and 1/4 cup of milk. Season with salt and pepper. Mix gently and press into the baking dish.
  3. Bake the meatloaf for 20 minutes until browned and firm to the touch.
  4. Cook macaroni in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  5. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in 1/4 cup of flour, then gradually add 2 cups of milk, whisking until thickened. Stir in paprika, dry mustard, and 1.5 cups of cheddar cheese until smooth.
  6. Fold cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until well combined. Spoon over the baked meatloaf.
