Ingredients
  

For the Burger Patties
  • 1 pound Ground Beef can be swapped with ground turkey or chicken
  • 4 ounces Feta Cheese can substitute with goat cheese or ricotta
  • 1 large Egg acts as a binder
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Onion scallions can be used for milder flavor
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic add extra for more flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano check for fresh basil as alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
For the Tomato Cream Sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream can substitute with half-and-half or coconut cream
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste can use reduced tomato sauce instead
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika regular paprika can also be used
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley can substitute with basil
  • 2 ounces Feta Crumbles optional for extra flavor

Method
 

Burger Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, crumbled feta, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty, making a slight indent in the center.
  3. Heat a skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. Remove cooked patties from the skillet and cover with foil to keep warm.
Sauce Preparation
  1. Lower the heat, add a teaspoon of olive oil if needed, and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute. Gradually pour in heavy cream while stirring.
  3. Cook the mixture for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Incorporate crumbled feta and smoked paprika, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Return patties to the skillet and spoon creamy sauce over them, heating for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Plate the burgers, drizzle with extra sauce, and garnish with fresh parsley.
