- Begin by creaming 1 cup of softened butter and 1/2 cup of honey until fluffy and light, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup of molasses, then gradually mix in 2 cups of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and spices. Mix in orange zest and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.
- Shape the dough into a log or desired shapes. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
