Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 15 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the crushed tomatoes to the saucepan and stir to combine.
  3. Sprinkle in the oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using on your pizza.
