  • 1 box Pillsbury Golden Butter Cake Mix
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar for rolling

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together softened cream cheese and butter in a mixing bowl for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the egg and ground nutmeg to the mixture, mixing on low speed until well combined.
  4. Stir in the rum extract until evenly distributed.
  5. Gradually blend in the cake mix and baking powder until there are no dry spots.
  6. Cover and chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  7. Scoop and roll dough into 2-inch balls, then coat in powdered sugar.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until soft and slightly gooey on top.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Optionally sprinkle with more powdered sugar before serving.
