  • 1 cup chocolate chips can use mini or dark chocolate

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together room temperature unsalted butter and light brown sugar for about 2 minutes until fluffy.
  3. Add one large egg, vanilla extract, and fine salt; mix on low speed until combined.
  4. Sift in all-purpose flour and mix on low until just combined; then fold in the mashed overripe bananas.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently, reserving a few for topping.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, sprinkle reserved chocolate chips on top, and bake for 33-37 minutes.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing them into 16 squares.
