Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Orange Glazed Salmon
  1. Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Pat them dry using a paper towel to ensure better seasoning adhesion.
  2. In a large skillet, pour in a tablespoon of olive oil and heat it over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Carefully place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook an additional 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add orange juice, honey, soy sauce, orange zest, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry and gradually stir it into the glaze, cooking until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return the cooked salmon to the skillet, spooning the orange glaze over the top. Heat through for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Plate the salmon fillets and drizzle with remaining glaze. Garnish with sliced green onions and optional orange slices.
