  • 1/2 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes dry preferred
  • 1/2 cup Tomato Purée or tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil or neutral oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice or vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast or vegan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Mixed Dried Herbs adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder or fresh onions
  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup or omit
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup Water for consistency

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Soak 1 cup of sunflower seeds and 1/2 cup of sun-dried tomatoes in boiling water for 30 minutes. Drain well.
  2. Transfer soaked ingredients to a high-power blender with tomato purée, olive oil, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, mixed herbs, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Add maple syrup, salt, black pepper, and water to the blender.
  4. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides. Adjust consistency with more water if needed.
  5. Transfer the pâté to a container, seal, and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
