Method

Preparing the Waffles
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, and lemon juice until well combined.
  2. In a separate larger bowl, mix the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, white sugar, light brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions and lightly grease if necessary.
  5. Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron, using about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of batter per waffle, and cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden and crisp.
Making the Whipped Cream
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, beat heavy whipping cream using an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon, then continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
Serving
  1. Serve the warm cinnamon waffles immediately, generously topped with the whipped cream. Optionally, add fresh fruit or syrup.
