Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup diced cooked chicken breast
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise for dressing
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk for dressing
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar for dressing
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard for dressing
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder for dressing
  • Salt and pepper to taste for dressing

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cooked bacon, diced chicken, cherry tomatoes, avocado, blue cheese, and chives. Toss gently to mix all the ingredients evenly.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, buttermilk, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  3. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients.
  4. Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
