Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 1 ½ cups warm water 110°F
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup olive oil plus more for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Stretch and press the dough to fit the pan.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the dough.
  8. Using your fingers, create dimples all over the surface of the dough. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  9. Let the dough rest for another 20 minutes while the oven preheats.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
