Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Unroll the first can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and a splash of vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent dough.
- Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the cream cheese filling, pinching the seams to seal.
- In a small bowl, melt a few tablespoons of unsalted butter and mix with ground cinnamon and ¼ cup of granulated sugar.
- Brush the melted butter over the top of the crescent roll layer and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
