Step-by-Step Instructions for Christmas Kitchen Sink Cookies
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened salted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated white sugar. Cream together on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
- Add the egg yolks and vanilla bean paste to the creamed mixture. Mix on medium speed for an additional 2 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Gently fold in the mix-ins: red and green M&M’s, white chocolate chips, pretzel pieces, and potato chip pieces.
- Using a cookie scoop, form approximately 20 equal balls and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. For chewier cookies, aim for 10 minutes; for a crispier edge, bake for the full 12 minutes.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely for another 10 minutes.
