A delicious Chicken Caesar Sandwich recipe that combines shredded chicken, romaine lettuce, and Caesar dressing, all served on toasted whole grain bread.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce chopped
  • ½ cup Caesar dressing
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of whole grain bread
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional: ½ cup croutons crushed

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  3. While the skillet is heating, assemble the sandwiches by placing a generous portion of the chicken Caesar mixture on two slices of bread. If desired, sprinkle crushed croutons on top for added crunch.
  4. Top with the remaining slices of bread to complete the sandwiches.
  5. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately.
