Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
  3. Pour in the Alfredo sauce and stir until the chicken is evenly coated. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3-5 minutes, until heated through.
  4. While the mixture simmers, toast the hamburger buns in a separate skillet or under the broiler until golden brown.
  5. Spoon the chicken Alfredo mixture onto the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and place the top half of the bun on each.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
