  • 8 oz Pasta Choose your favorite type of pasta.
Onion Mixture
  • 2 medium Onions Finely chopped.
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper
Optional Additions
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated, optional.
  • 1 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional for spice.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and chop your onions finely.
  2. In a skillet, add olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the chopped onions and cook for 15-20 minutes until caramelized.
  3. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve a cup of pasta water.
  4. Combine the caramelized onions with the drained pasta in the pot, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then mix in Parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes before serving.
