  • 2 large chicken breasts about 1.5 pounds total
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the balsamic mixture over them, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and is cooked through.
  5. For extra glaze, broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of baking. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
