Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice sweet potatoes into thin rounds. Boil for 10-15 minutes until fork-tender, then drain.
  3. Layer half of the sweet potato slices in a greased baking dish, followed by half of the fresh cranberries.
  4. Mix heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then pour half over the layers.
  5. Repeat layering with the remaining sweet potato slices and cranberries, then pour the remaining cream mixture on top.
  6. Top with Gruyère cheese and breadcrumbs.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
