  • 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil Can substitute with melted butter.
For the Creamy Layer
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened and at room temperature.
  • 12 oz Whipped Topping Cool Whip works perfectly.
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Adjust to taste.
For the Topping
  • 1 package Oreos Crushed finely for appearance.
  • to taste Gummy Worms Decorative element.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix chocolate cake mix, 3 large eggs, 1 cup water, and 1/3 cup vegetable oil until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into the casserole dish and bake for 30-35 minutes; check doneness with a toothpick.
  4. In another bowl, beat 8 oz of cream cheese until smooth, then mix in 1 cup powdered sugar and fold in 12 oz whipped topping.
  5. Once the cake cools completely, spread the cream cheese filling over the cake.
  6. Sprinkle crushed Oreos over the cream cheese layer and decorate with gummy worms.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
